What do Tupperware, the Ladyshave and the Satisfyer have in common? They are products made specifically for women.

In the summer of our thematic year ‘Jakoba Mulder's Soulmates’, focusing on the role of women in architecture and design, we are showing the design exhibition For Women Only. The exhibition explores the power of design and how products influence the position of women in society.

For Women Only uses our collection of interior objects from the 1950s and 1960s and the Good Living tradition as a starting point. We show how the product design of those days reflects societal expectations about women and explore what this is like now.
